Minister meets kindergarten directors, owners

Manama, March 31 (BNA)– Kindergartens in Bahrain have been urged to adhere to the regulations stipulated by decree-law 25 for 1998 on private educational and training establishments, including capacity, commitment to the educational experience curricula and compliance with safety rules.
Education Minister Dr. Majid Al-Nuaimi underlined the ministry’s keenness to provide the needed support for those kindergartens to optimise their educational services. Speaking at a meeting with Directors and owners of the kindergartens, he pointed out that the ministry had compiled books on educational experiences to boost the kindergartens’ curricula. He added that the field visits made by the ministry aim to provide support for those kindergartens due to the importance of this stage for the children’s educational future.

The minister noted that the Education Ministry will carry out, in cooperation with Tamkeen and the University of Bahrain, a project to develop the performance of the kindergarten teachers.

The meeting was attended by Education Ministry Undersecretary for Educational and Curricula Affairs Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al-Mutawa, Assistant Undersecretary for Private and Adult Education Dr. Abdul Ghani Al Shewikh, Kindergartens Director Dr. Huda Al Awadhi and officials.
