Jeddah, January 31st (BNA) –Ministry of Culture in Bahrain and the Development Islamic Bank in Jeddah agreed to support two projects within the tourist projects of the ministry. The agreement came a day after Minister of Culture, Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa was granted the International Tourism Award in the field of creativity from the Arab Tourism Organization.


Both sides agreed on supporting the project of the course of Lulu Road which was included on the World Heritage List, and the project of the waterfront opposite to Bab Al Bahrain, that was the theme of the competition submitted by Ministry of Culture in 2012, when it was the Capital of the Arab Culture.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Development Islamic Bank, Dr. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Ali praised the distinctive activity of the Ministry of Culture, expressing his appreciation for Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa’s sustainable efforts in embodying a constructive vision working on developing and activating the tourism wheel, as well as the economic wheel for the interest of Bahrain.

Dr. Ahmed Ali also stressed the general principles the Bank is committed to in its work to change the concept of the comprehensive human development and support the targeted activity in all various Arab Countries.
