President Mahinda Rajapakse who was honored by the highest award from the Kingdom of Bahrain arrived in the island this evening. The president and the delegation were warmly received by a number of ministers, artistes and distinguished guests at the Katunayake airport. Maha Sangha and religious dignitaries invoked blessing to the president at the airport by conducting religious observances. Making an anusasana, Venerable Nedagamuwe Vijaya Maithree Thero said the president is a true Buddhist leader and has been honored by the world Muslim community as well.
