Royal Bahrain Hospital

As part of its strategy to continually improve and develop its various medical departments and facilities,
Royal Bahrain Hospital
(RBH)-a 60-bed, multi-specialty hospital based in Salmaniya, Bahrain – has commenced Intensive Care services. Equipped with the latest technology in the field of intensive care, the RBH Intensive Care Unit features 8 beds, including one isolation bed designed with negative pressure for airborne isolation for patients with infections such as Tuberculosis Coronavirus.

Overseeing the facility is an American Board certified intensivist who will be working abreast with a well-qualified medical team – experienced in handling medical surgical critical illnesses, as well as multiple trauma and neurological cases.

“Our ICU follows strict infection control guidelines practices to prevent cross-infection between patients. Moreover, treatments and medications are strictly monitored and are only administered by highly experienced nurses with a ratio of one nurse per patient,” said Mr. Jacob Thomas, Director of Operations at RBH.

“RBH’s ICU practices are protocol driven, following international medical guidelines, in addition to implementing surveillance programs to track and ensure that the practices are well-implemented.” he added before concluding with “At RBH we appreciate the opportunity to provide our patients and the community with the best we have to offer.”

Worth mentioning, RBH delivers state-of-the-art-medical care with a professional team of doctors, nurses, paramedics and administrators, combined with high-end facilities and equipment from countries such as Germany and the USA. Furthermore, the hospital has a modern Hospital Information System (HIS), which allows operations to be almost paperless. It provides affordable, safe and competent care to its patients, keeping with the highest international standards.
