Manama, May 30 (BNA)— Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS) Secretary General and Bahrain Olympic Committee Vice President Shaikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to Riffa Club Board Chairman Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa and members as well as the football technical and administrative bodies on crowning Riffa team champions of the First Division Soccer League for the eleventh time in the club’s history after defeating Al-Malikiya 3-1 in the final match which was held at Bahrain National Stadium today.

Shaikh Salman described the achievement as a logical result of the distinguished efforts made by the club’s Board of Directors and officials to pave the way for clinching the title.

He also congratulated runner-up Manama Club on clinching second place, lauding the team’s outstanding performance.
