Southern Governorate to launch al-Basta4

Manama, Nov. 30 (BNA): The Governor of the Southern Governorate, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, will hold a press conference to announce the launch of the fourth edition of al-Basta Market (al-Basta4) slated to be held at Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) with support from Tamkeen (the Labour Fund).


The press conference will take place on Tuesday at the governorate’s auditorium in Awali, during which the details of al-Basta4 will be announced, including its key functions, in the presence of several officials and representatives of its sponsors and patrons.

The Basta4 this year will be held on a large space to accommodate hundreds of individual and corporate vendors.

The bazaar is held each year in line with the national initiative of Wife of HM the King, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Women, to develop the agrarian sector and other related sectors.

Tamkeen’s support for al-Basta4 aims to develop and support Bahraini youths’ SMEs.


The al-Basta1, 2 and 3 events attracted massive popular attendance and embraced numerous functions that contributed to enrichment of the local economy in terms of supporting and empowering Bahrain youths and showcasing their capabilities in various fields and engaged the biggest number of youths in displaying their own produce and supported SME owners by marketing their commodities thus reaping the benefit to all.
