Sultanate takes part in forum on women in military field

The Sultanate, repres-ented by the Public Authority for Craft Industries (Paci), took part in celebrations of the Bahraini Woman’s Day in Bahrain under the theme ‘Women in the Military Field.’

Her Excellency Sheikha Aisha Bint Khalfan Al Siyabiyah, Chairperson of Paci, headed the Sultanate’s delegation.

The Bahraini Woman’s Day celebrations included a military forum for woman in the GCC countries, a review of the process of the Gulf woman in the military and security sectors through monitoring of the most important factors that contributed to the strengthening of her joining various military formations.

The forum highlighted the best enhancing policies and practices for the role of woman in the military institutions, in addition to discussing the opportunities and challenges facing woman in the sector and her role in it.

The forum aims to emphasise the participation of the Gulf woman in various military specialities and her role in its development, as well as highlighting programmes of the military and security institutions in developing strategies to ensure the participation of woman.
