Manama-June-29(BNA) Police were this evening out in force to ease the traffic congestion on King Fahd Causeway.

Long queues of vehicles entering or leaving Bahrain prompted the General Directorate of Traffic to step up efforts in order to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles on the vital artery linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

“Additional lanes were opened in a bid to accommodate the massive number of vehicles and ease up the congestion ordeal”, Traffic Culture Lieutenant-Colonel Mousa Isa Al-Dosary said.

Citing updated figures, he said that the 10, 186 cars entered Bahrain today between midnight and 10 pm, while 8729 vehicles left via King Fahd Causeway.
