De acordo com a agência noticiosa QNA, citada pela Reuters, a decisão foi tomada esta quarta-feira, 6 de Janeiro.   Desta forma, o Qatar junta-se ao rol de países de maioria sunita, ou governados por famílias reais sunitas, que nos últimos dias têm cortado relações com o Irão em demonstrações de solidariedade diplomática com a Arábia Saudita. "A secret terrorist plot aided by the so-called Iranian Revolutionary Guard and the Hezbollah terrorist organization was foiled," Bahrain’s BNA news agency reported."It targeted the security of the kingdom of Bahrain by (plotting to) carry out a series of dangerous bombings," it added.The Interior Ministry arrested six people.
