Palestinian Revolution anniversary marked

Manama, Dec.31 (BNA): A ceremony was held today to mark the 51st anniversary of the Palestinian revolution. The Palestinian Embassy in Manama hosted the ceremony in the presence of Foreign Ministry Assistant Undersecretary for GCC and Western States Affairs Dr. Dhafer Al-Omran, Arab and foreign ambassadors.


The candle-lighting event was also attended by Mps, Shura Council members, leading Bahraini personalities, representatives of political associations, religious figures and members of the Palestinian community. Palestinian Ambassador Taha Abdel Qader extended condolences to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on the passing away of three Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) servicemen who gave their lives while performing their sacred duties within the Saudi-led Arab coalition.

He also offered condolences to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier as well as the late soldiers’ families.

Addressing the ceremony, he stressed continuous Arab and Islamic support to the Palestinian cause, expressing the hope that the Palestinian people would soon be able to establish its independent and sovereign state with Al-Quds as its capital. Dr. Al-Omran conveyed greetings from Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa, affirming Bahrain’s unwavering support to the Palestinian cause.
