Prince Faisal wins GCC award of excellence

 Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman, chairman of Takaful charitable society for orphans, has won the GCC award of excellence for 2014 thanks to his humanitarian services for the care of orphans in the Kingdom.

The Regional Network for Social Responsibility in Bahrain selected Prince Faisal for the award considering his leadership role in carrying out a number of programs for the care and welfare of orphans.

Prince Faisal is well known for his humanitarian services and his support for social responsibility. He has previously worked as chairman of the executive committee for Insan charitable society for the care of orphans in Riyadh.

The award was announced during a forum of leaders and experts in the field of orphan care, representing charitable organizations in the GCC states.

The forum was held in Manama in collaboration with the humanitarian sector management of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations Global Compact program under the auspices of Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, speaker of Parliament in Bahrain, and under the aegis of Sheikh Hisham bin Abdul Rahman Al-Khalifa, governor of Manama.
