Shaikh Nasser attends charity race

Manama, Nov. 27 (BNA): Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman and the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended a running competition organised by the “Round Table” at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC).


Shaikh Nasser highlighted the importance of holding sports events carrying noble goals, especially for supporting the charity works in the kingdom, stressing that sports are not only meant competition between athletes, but also are important in attracting financial and moral support for charity work.

Shaikh Nasser underlined his full support to all sports events that serve charitable and humanitarian goals, noting that the kingdom hosts numerous sports events that activate its drive to harness sport in serving charity work and cementing social cohesion.

He voiced pride in the race for, he said, it embodies noble principles and conveys Bahrain’s message of good for the world, stressing that sport is an effective means to achieve rapprochement, love and harmony among all, meet the humanitarian needs, boost the initiative spirit among the members of society and promote the noble values spearheaded by Bahrain’s leaders and people.
